In the Theme icon, on the WordPress Themes Page, the them photo shows social icons near the top right. How can I add / activate those?
March 23, 2023 at 4:23 am #316812tikaramKeymaster@greenhornet : Are you using the free version or Pro version of the theme? It looks like the feature to enable social icons on top right is available in the Pro version of the theme only.

TikaramApril 4, 2023 at 4:35 pm #317215greenhornetParticipantWe just bought the pro version but I don’t see the option to enable the social icons. Can you advise?
April 4, 2023 at 4:41 pm #317217SakinKeymaster@greenhornet : First create a social menu from “Appearance => Menus” and then assign that menu from “Appearance => Menus => Manage Locations” location to “Social On Primary Menu”.
April 6, 2023 at 4:05 pm #317268greenhornetParticipantI have created the social menu as instructed in “appearance / Menus.” However, I dont see a way to add menu items that match the social icons. These are pictured in the Catch Wheels thumbnail I originally referenced above. Here is a image.
April 6, 2023 at 6:38 pm #317274SakinKeymaster@greenhornet: Can you check this tutorial section “Add Social Menu/Custom Links” https://devotepress.com/tutorials-hacks/create-custom-menus-wordpress/ ? Also, let me know in which step you got stuck.
April 6, 2023 at 6:56 pm #317280greenhornetParticipantDid you look at the picture I linked? Those are the icons and menu I want, as promoted in the theme image and was told (above) that they were available in Pro. The step I got stuck is “add menu items” as I stated above. Unless I’m missing something, you’re not going to get icons like that by creating a custom menu. The article you linked shows how to create a custom social menu, but I don’t see a mention of using icons for those links instead of works. In other words, we want the Twitter icon pictured in the theme, instead of the word “Twitter.”

You need to assign that menu to a location called “Social On Primary Menu” on “Appearance => Menus => Manage Locations” which will automatically display the corresponding social icon with the links you have provided. It will be just like the screenshot.
April 8, 2023 at 12:43 pm #317321greenhornetParticipantThanks for your help. I got it mostly working. The TikTok link is using a generic icon. Is there no icon available for TikTok? Have a look.
April 8, 2023 at 11:50 pm #317328SakinKeymaster@greenhornet: We needed to update the Font Awesome library in our theme and we just did that on version 2.2. So, please update the theme and clear your cache.
April 10, 2023 at 3:14 pm #317386greenhornetParticipantThanks. I’m not seeing an update for pro (only the free version). Will the pro theme allow me to update in place or do I have to manyally download the pro update?
April 10, 2023 at 4:02 pm #317387SakinKeymaster@greenhornet: I just check our system and see that you haven’t activated the license key on your site. You can get your license key from your account at https://catchthemes.com/my-account/ and then go to “Appearance => About Theme”, click on the “License” tab, add the license key, Save Changes, and Active it.
You can also check the instructions at https://catchthemes.com/frequently-asked-questions/#question-installation-how-do-i-upgrade-to-a-new-theme-version-if-i-have-modified-my-theme
